Keep the USB-C and charging areas clean and dry before charging. Don't charge the speaker while the USB-C connection is wet. For maximum battery life, avoid consistently playing at maximum volume. Keep the speaker within a reasonable Bluetooth range of your phone. Use the JBL Portable app for supported configuration and software updates. The IP68 rating makes it suitable for water and dust exposure, but always ensure the charging connections are completely dry before charging. JBL specifically warns against charging when the USB-C connector detects water, salt or other chemicals.
